Beginners' Pattern-making Workshops in London and South East

So you've learnt the basics and now you want to be a bit more clever and push the frontiers of dressmaking a little. Pattern-making and cutting is an interesting science and having a good tutor is essential. Bee will arrange for you to get strong beginners' skills with her daughter, Laura. Fashion design trained, Laura can start you on your way with lots of insider tips and inspiration. You will be able to make your own, made-to-measure blocks (the building materials of all patterns) and advise on preparing and cutting the patterns. You will make up a simple dress toile which you can take away with you. All tools and materials will be provided.

Classes will cost £65 per person for 5 hours with a minimum of 3 students. All materials including papers, fabric and notions will be provided. Sewing machines will be the student's own unless organised otherwise. If you would like individual lessons or with one other person, classes will be scaled up at £120 for one and £95 per person for two.

All workshops are available in London and the South East at a location to be discussed on booking but can be arranged on an individual basis outside these areas. Contact Bee by e-mail at bee_at_home@hotmail.com
